Examples of Campaign Photography
The photograph is named or titled 'Your smoking harms you child' which was posted by the NHS (National Health Service.) The photograph was made to show smokers the harms of smoking and to stop them from smoking near others and to go even further and to convince them to stop buying and smoking cigarettes and if not to stop then try and smoke away from everyone else because it harms you and harms everyone around you as well as the environment.
The photograph has a little girl which is represented as a child and a arm with it's hand over it's mouth. The hand is misty and is it goes from one end of the arm to the other end where the hand is and as it goes along it becomes more clear. It covers it's mouth to show that the hand is covering her mouth and nose so it is suffocating her and the hand represent the cigarette or the the harmful smoke from it and is showing that it is suffocating her but she isn't saying anything about but her facial emotions expresses her feelings.

This picture symbolises that we all started the same way and even though we appear to be different we are still the same on the inside and we are all in the same family tree.
The background of the image is black with a family tree but instead with faces; one of which is a Monkey and the others are all humans but are all of different races. On the human faces the left sides have more contrast where as the right side is opposite in which it is darker with a lower contrast.

These 2 photos are very similar and are both made by 'ISPCC' (Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) and they both follow similar guidelines. They include famous people which are on the left of the photo and then it's followed by a quote on the right hand side. Also in smaller text on the bottom right of each photo there is an invitation, a message that is telling you that you need to join the fight for children's right's. The photo's must have been taken in a studio, in front of a white background or a green screen which has been photoshopped to give a bright white background. There has been a make up artist involved to make it seem as if the people have been bullied and abused by others and it has been photoshopped to give the faces a black and white effect which makes it significantly effective on the viewer. The photo has a medium exposure and the focus point on their faces.

Shoot One
Plan:
-I need 2 people
-Take a picture of the eyes or faces of two people
-Make a Text Layer and write: "What's the Difference?" or "Which one is........"

I didn't particularly like shoot one. The shoot didn't go according to plan and was harder than I imagined it to be but that is all part of learning and advancing forward so I will continue on to a shoot two The photos from Shoot One are above.
Shoot Two
Plan:
In this shoot what I will do is produce photos of a handshake to show that you can turn back and make mends with others. I will show that it doesn't have to continue the way it is and that you can choose to turn on to a new path. I also need to find an existing quote that expresses my message or I can create a strong and powerful message.
Analysis:
This shoot went well in some ways but not as good in some other ways. Before taking the photos I should've checked the camera settings as the camera was saving the photo with a resolution 720x480 but using Adobe Photoshop I edited the photo and added a quote so I made do with what I had and I have made a quality set of photos. The last photo was my favourite as the colour, lighting and the exposure was very accurate in what the photo should show where as the rest of the photos weren't bringing out the true colours of the hands and blazers and also the third one is out of focus or blurry.

Ideas and Research:
For this shoot I will do a cigarette campaign photography. I have a choice between doing a campaign on standard or regular cigarettes or a newer version which are know as e-cigarettes or e-cigs. At the moment evidence shows that e-cigarettes can be safer than the regular cigarettes, even though this is the case there are still chemicals in e-cigarettes that are currently unknown and can be harmful in the long term. Many think that e-cigarettes are safe and so teenagers try them out which leads them to smoking standard cigarettes because of an addiction that has started. It has been announced that from 2016 some e-cigarettes will be licensed and regulated as medicines and availability to people will be dependent on their health claims. For example; if it helps you to stop smoking. Just because it's safe and better doesn't mean it's harmful; for example cancer is one of the dangers of smoking e-cigarettes.

More examples based on Shoot Three
-Above I've found and uploaded many examples of campaign photography based on e-cigarettes. By doing this it has given me many ideas and thoughts on what to do for my e-cigarette campaign photo shoot.
-I can start by planning what I need:
-An e-cigarette (prop or real.)
-A background which will be easy to remove in photo editing software.
-A place where there is good lighting, it can be indoors or even outdoors.
-A photo editing software to simulate the smoke.
-A photo editing software can also be used to brighten, darken, add effects and modify the images.
-The choice of photo editing software will be 'Photoshop' made by 'Adobe.'
